A Phone Call from the Kid

My adult son called the other day and left me a message in my voice mail that really is making me think. I want to share it with you and then, please, let me know what you think about it. Is this true for you?

"The finest warriors want to be farmers and the finest farmers want to be warriors."

Don't Forget to Live

Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry-go-round
Or listened to the rain plopping onto the ground?
Have you ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you ask "How are you?" do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed
With the at least 100 tasks running through your head?
Have you ever told your child, "We'll do it tomorrow."
And in your haste, not seen his sorrow?
Have you ever lost touch & let a good friendship die?
Just take a moment to call to say "Hi."
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....Thrown away...
Life is not a race. Take it slower.
Hear the music before the song is over.

The Biggest Problem of All

Our human need -- our human greed -- is so big that we want to be loved more than we want to love.
